Who we are + what we do

Kate Wilson

Director

Kate is a director of Seam Architecture + Design with over 15 years’ experience leading projects across the North East, with particular expertise in heritage, conservation and sensitive historic environments. She often leads the design direction of projects, developing a strong narrative and bespoke response to each site and client brief. Kate enjoys the challenge of constrained and complex sites, working collaboratively with clients and specialist consultants to find opportunities where others may see limitations. Her approach is rooted in understanding the history and character of a place, while remaining adaptable to the individual priorities of each project, from concept and planning through to technical design. For Kate every project is bespoke because no two clients or sites are the same.

Hannah Darmody

Director

Hannah is a director of Seam Architecture + Design with over 15 years’ experience leading projects from early feasibility through to completion, with particular expertise in technical design, project delivery, residential and masterplanning. She brings a considered and practical approach to turning ambitious ideas into architecture that works, with a particular strength in problem solving, detail and construction. Hannah enjoys finding bespoke and considered solutions that allow ideas to be realised, even where the constraints of a project demand a different approach. She takes the time to understand the story behind each client’s brief and enjoys seeing how carefully considered design and detail can transform the way people live, work and experience a place. Her approach is bespoke, collaborative and focused on delivering architecture that lasts.
